CyberData’s SIP Paging Server with Bell Scheduler Gets a Significant Update

Monterey, CA - CyberData Corporation has released an enhanced version of their popular SIP Paging Server with Bell Scheduler with a host of new features and updates that have substantially improved the device and user experience.

CyberData’s SIP Paging Server enables users through a single SIP phone extension, to access multiple zones for paging in a VoIP network and to connect to legacy analog overhead paging systems. The SIP Paging Server has now been updated with features such as enhanced calendar support for the Bell Scheduler, call-in recording for stored messages, and user creation and multi-user login. Multiple users can now be created on CyberData devices and user privileges can be controlled by the admin account to restrict access to only specific pages.

This is the most significant suite of upgrades ever released for the SIP Paging Server. Feedback from CyberData’s Certified Reseller and Installer Channel has been instrumental in the implementation of these new features. That feedback provided CyberData with direction in terms of new features that would provide an easier-to-use event scheduler with color coordination for easy user management. Reoccurring event generation based on time, day of the week, or day of the month is also easier to set up, and the schedules can be stored directly on the paging server, without needing to manage files separately.

Users will also be able to add Wi-Fi Alert Buttons (PN#011527) that, when pressed, create an event that then generates an appropriate mass notification response, a key component for any emergency notification solution.

“When we first added bell scheduling software to the SIP Paging Server a few years back, we wanted to deliver a device that enabled users to schedule bells and announcements as well as provide zone paging through a single SIP extension as an alternative to traditional bell scheduling systems,” said Phil Lembo, President and CEO of CyberData. He continued, “With the help of our Certified Resellers and Installers, we’ve been able to improve the device with more user-requested features, and these upgrades are available free to current users based on their serial number.”

Users who have purchased the SIP Paging Server with Bell Scheduler in the past two years, and have a unit with a serial number that begins with 1462 can upgrade their device with these latest features by going to the product page for the device.
