CyberData Releases the SIP Large Button Outdoor Intercom for Easy-Press Two-Way Communication and Access Control

Monterey, CA - CyberData has released a new SIP Outdoor Intercom that can make two-way communication and access control effortless, especially for emergency situations. The SIP Large Button Outdoor Intercom delivers the same functions and features of the standard SIP Outdoor Intercom, including two-way communication, access control, simultaneous SIP and Multicast functionality and more.

One of the standout features of the SIP Large Button Outdoor Intercom is its call button, which is specifically designed to provide reliable and precise contact, even in emergency situations where time is of the essence. This feature is particularly beneficial for settings where users may have limited dexterity or mobility, such as medical facilities or assisted living residences. Additionally, the "easy press" call button is optimal for drive-up entry to secure areas, providing an added layer of security for parking garages, warehouses, and other industrial environments.

“The big red button is a unique feature of this Intercom and really improves user experience, especially in public settings or environments such as long-term care facilities,” said Phil Lembo, President & CEO of CyberData. “We are mindful of the multitude of user experiences. We’ve learned that for certain users, an easy-touch intercom is much more desirable. Receiving this kind of critical feedback about an existing device in order to improve the overall user experience is a gift and we’re happy to deliver on this one.”

This new intercom like all CyberData Intercoms is compatible with most on-prem or cloud-based VoIP systems, including SBCs, Gateways. In addition to its user-friendly features, the SIP Large Button Outdoor Intercom can also be connected to an Auxiliary Strobe Kit, also from CyberData, for ADA-compliant visual notification.

CyberData’s SIP Large Button Outdoor Intercom is shipping now.

CyberData’s SIP Paging Server with Bell Scheduler Gets a Significant Update

Monterey, CA - CyberData Corporation has released an enhanced version of their popular SIP Paging Server with Bell Scheduler with a host of new features and updates that have substantially improved the device and user experience.

CyberData’s SIP Paging Server enables users through a single SIP phone extension, to access multiple zones for paging in a VoIP network and to connect to legacy analog overhead paging systems. The SIP Paging Server has now been updated with features such as enhanced calendar support for the Bell Scheduler, call-in recording for stored messages, and user creation and multi-user login. Multiple users can now be created on CyberData devices and user privileges can be controlled by the admin account to restrict access to only specific pages.

This is the most significant suite of upgrades ever released for the SIP Paging Server. Feedback from CyberData’s Certified Reseller and Installer Channel has been instrumental in the implementation of these new features. That feedback provided CyberData with direction in terms of new features that would provide an easier-to-use event scheduler with color coordination for easy user management. Reoccurring event generation based on time, day of the week, or day of the month is also easier to set up, and the schedules can be stored directly on the paging server, without needing to manage files separately.

Users will also be able to add Wi-Fi Alert Buttons (PN#011527) that, when pressed, create an event that then generates an appropriate mass notification response, a key component for any emergency notification solution.

“When we first added bell scheduling software to the SIP Paging Server a few years back, we wanted to deliver a device that enabled users to schedule bells and announcements as well as provide zone paging through a single SIP extension as an alternative to traditional bell scheduling systems,” said Phil Lembo, President and CEO of CyberData. He continued, “With the help of our Certified Resellers and Installers, we’ve been able to improve the device with more user-requested features, and these upgrades are available free to current users based on their serial number.”

Users who have purchased the SIP Paging Server with Bell Scheduler in the past two years, and have a unit with a serial number that begins with 1462 can upgrade their device with these latest features by going to the product page for the device.

To learn more about the newest features of CyberData’s SIP Paging Server with Bell Scheduler, please visit www.CyberData.net.

CyberData’s New Network Managed SIP Dual Relay Controller Offers Enhanced Facility Security and Notification

April 19, 2022 - Monterey, CA – CyberData Corporation has announced the release of their latest SIP-enabled access control device, the SIP Dual Relay Controller. The 011484 SIP Dual Relay Controller manages two high amperage relays for the locking and unlocking of doors or gates and can create a notification based on the activation and deactivation of a sensor, such as for humidity, moisture, or heat. The device works as part of a network-managed IP security infrastructure designed for use in areas where additional security is required or where the presence of a person or a two-way communication device is not available.

Secure Access

As a secure access device, a user can enter a DTMF code on their VoIP phone or press a doorbell or remote call button, such as CyberData’s 011508 Remote Call Button (purchased separately) to activate the relay and unlock the door for entry.

Notification

When a visitor presses a doorbell or a sensor is activated, the 011484 SIP Dual Relay Controller makes a SIP call and plays a stored audio message via multicast over endpoints such as, “visitor at door two” or “heat sensor alert, network room three”. Users can then activate the relay to take additional action such as turning on a fan by entering a DTMF on a VoIP phone or utilizing a separately purchased doorbell or remote call button.

It has been a busy year for CyberData, and this is the third release for the long-established IP endpoint company. “Between COVID and supply chain issues, it’s been a chaotic past two years. Fortunately, we have not been impacted by these interruptions, giving us time to finetune our goals and strategy in determining CyberData’s direction in the next 3, 5, and even 10 years down the road,” said Phil Lembo, President & CEO of CyberData. He continued, “I see IoT – Internet of Things – increasing with importance as part of a comprehensive notification and secure access solution for any organization, regardless of size. The new SIP Dual Relay Controller is a step in that direction. The relays can manage doors for secure access, as well as give users the option to activate a device upon receipt of a notification that a sensor was triggered.”

CyberData will begin shipping the SIP Dual Relay Controller immediately. For more information, please visit www.cyberdata.net.

CyberData’s New Intercom Offers Touch-free Two-way Communication and Access Control

March 2022 Monterey, CA – CyberData Corporation, celebrating its 48th year in business, announced today the release of a new SIP-enabled Indoor Intercom offering touch-free two-way communication and access control, all with a wave of the hand.

CyberData’s SIP Hand Wave Indoor Intercom offers the ability to make a phone call and engage in a two-way conversation by simply waving your hand. The new Intercom is designed for interior spaces requiring an increased level of security such as within medical facilities and research laboratories, retail establishments, schools, and universities.

CyberData leads the industry when it comes to developing and delivering quality SIP-enabled endpoints such as speakers and intercoms that utilize the VoIP network to facilitate two-way communication, paging, emergency notification and access control. With optimism for the new year, CyberData is focused on expanding their product line with new offerings to reflect the new functions and features required due to a global pandemic, such as distancing and touch-free communication. Following almost two years of successfully delivering product to customers in a tumultuous and uncertain environment, CyberData has utilized the time to develop new devices scheduled for release in 2022, and expand new programs, such as the Reseller & Installer Certification Program launched in late 2020.

“We had a better-than-expected 2021, and that has allowed us to focus time and resources on some new releases and additional offerings,” stated Phil Lembo, President & CEO of CyberData. “We’ve heard from customers wanting Intercom options that reflect new health and safety protocols, and our new touch-free Intercom delivers the communication functionality they need, while adhering to stricter safety protocols around two-way communication and access control. Having a device that can allow for a conversation or provide notification of a visitor just by waving your hand, is pretty desirable for a host of environments,” he continued.

A video-enabled version, the SIP h.264 Video Hand Wave Indoor Intercom, is scheduled for release in the spring and provides for h.264 video communication with a 72-degree field of view. Both Intercoms offer clear two-way audio, increasing the security of any VoIP installation.

CyberData will begin shipping the SIP Hand Wave Indoor Intercom immediately, with the SIP h.264 Video Hand Wave Indoor Intercom following in April. For more information, please visit www.cyberdata.net.

CyberData Expands Product Line, Offers New Lower-cost VoIP SIP/Multicast Speakers

Monterey, CA – CyberData - The IP Endpoint Company has expanded their line and has introduced the most cost-competitive, low-cost, feature-packed SIP and Multicast Speakers on the market. The new VoIP SIP/Multicast Ceiling and Wall Mount Speakers are PoE-powered and offer customers the ability to utilize their VoIP network infrastructure to facilitate live paging, ringing and emergency notification, via SIP or Multicast. Separate mounting hardware is not required, making them easy to install and offering additional cost savings.

Live paging and emergency notification are critical to any organization, regardless of their size. For 16 years, CyberData has been the leader in developing and delivering IP endpoints that meet customer needs and with this release, CyberData offers a more cost-competitive option for paging and notification.

“Customers need more choices when it comes to paging in their environment. While devices like our premium SIP Speakers offer added functionality, customers have told us they simply require a cost-effective standard SIP and Multicast Speaker that is dependable, easy to install and easy to manage,” said Phil Lembo, President & CEO of CyberData. He added, “We’re responding to the market, and these new speakers deliver what customers have been asking for. Many small to medium size organizations forego migrating to SIP endpoints right away after spending money on a new VoIP system. Here’s a way for those organizations to get the most out of their VoIP system while minding their budget, and ensuring their staff, customers, or patients receive timely announcements.”

CyberData maintains a robust line of VoIP SIP and Multicast Speakers, including options for InformaCast® and Intrado (Syn-Apps) environments, and these new speaker offerings add an additional and extremely competitive price point for customers with paging needs.

CyberData is celebrating its 48th year in business and Phil Lembo sees wonderful opportunities for 2022, with plans for additional releases. “Our new Certified Resellers have really helped us explore this market in a much more targeted way and are providing us with valuable insight into what customers are asking for. Interop testing with other VoIP systems continues to be a focus and creates mutually beneficial partnerships. I think 2022 will be a year in which companies will look to build more sustaining partnerships to expand their business and tap into the resources and knowledge those collaborations bring. You will see more examples of that from CyberData in the coming year.”
